Provincial Nominee Programs are designed for individuals who can contribute to a province’s economy and intend to live in that province. If nominated, candidates may apply for permanent residence either through Express Entry or directly to IRCC. A Provincial Nomination Certificate (PNC) can significantly boost your Express Entry score or serve as a standalone route to permanent residence, even if you don’t qualify through federal programs. Processing times vary by province, but once nominated, applications typically take about 8 months through Express Entry and 19 months through non-Express Entry pathways.
